About Finanstilsynet
The Finanstilsynet is the primary financial regulatory authority in Denmark responsible for overseeing open banking and financial services. As a National Competent Authority (NCA), they ensure that banks and third-party providers comply with open banking regulations, protecting consumers while fostering innovation in financial services.
SCA Update: On 4 September 2019, the Danish regulator announced an 18-month implementation period for SCA requirements on online card payments. As a result, we don’t expect banks to fully require SCA for online payments from Danish cards until March 2021.
